Alfie came to live with us about 12 years ago. We had lost our previous dog to cancer and my son and I were finding our home lonely without a dog. So, I found an ad on Freecycle for Wolfhound Cross Puppies and emailed the owner. The post vanished and I panicked but found the ad on Gumtree so emailed again.
Within a few days we had our Alfie with us. He grew into a very hairy dog by about 18 months old, but he is funny, patient and loving. And during lockdown I fell in love with him even more; I didn’t think that was possible, but it is!
He is now over 12 years old and slowing down but he remains the same dog, giving high fives and barking at you if you stop stroking him!
